Along the years I have found this subject matter to be very important for all who want to sculpt realistic characters/creatures. The anatomy being the foundation, the quickest way to understand these forms is to practice a lot of anatomy in motion(dynamic figure) sculpts or drawings.
In this tutorial we will start in Photoshop and do dissections then move into ZBrush Coreto start with the sculpting. Please watch carefully the videos below where I share my approach in understanding the anatomy if subject is in a moving position.
Regarding reference we used Scott Eaton’s Bodies In motion, he has wide collection of high detailed dynamic images. You can visit he’s website ‘Bodies in motion‘ to find out more. If you have any questions or suggestions don’t hesitate to comment below and if you need 3D anatomy models as reference to study anatomy please visit our Store. Now enough with the talking, lets start learning dynamic figure sketching or sculpting in ZBrush or In ZBrushCore and Photoshop.
